How beautiful is this Jammy hedge that we have planted at Hampstead school?! It has been created using 200 hedgerow bare root whips including hawthorn, hazel, bird, cherry, crab apple, and dog rose. The hedgerow will protect the school from busy polluting traffic along Westbere Road. We have also planted an apple and a cherry tree at the school.

In terms of increasing biodiversity (one of our three pillars), we have got to work! A hole has been dug for a wildlife pond, and in September Design and Technology students are going to make bird boxes. A veritable wildlife haven coming soon!
