Camden Beeline volunteers helped plant a fantastic new hedgerow at UCL academy with the help of around 20 students. 200 bare-root trees were planted including hawthorn, blackthorn, and beech. The new hedgerow will help screen pollution and harmful particulates coming from the busy Avenue Road. Several Year 13 students are also capturing the growth of the hedgerow on a time-lapse camera as part of a school science project. Also, soil sensors are being used to measure variables in the soil. They will share the learnings with the Camden Beeline. This hedgerow is part of a STEAM project. Two mature apple trees were also planted by year 13 students thanks to a kind donation from KOKO.
