Secret Garden
With thanks to funding and volunteers from The Foundling Museum plus volunteers from Savills, we were able to spend a productive morning in November 2023 working on the secret garden out the back of Argyle school.
The group did lots of cleaning and pruning to allow space for new growth. Took out 2 rotting raised beds to give space for safe access to the potting shed. Installed a gutter system and water butt on the potting shed. Planted climbers up the back fence which will grow to give privacy. Moved self seeded plants into more suitable places. And uncovered a overgrown pond which is rumoured to be the home of newts!
The Foundling Museum is passionate about working with the local community and this project was created with the aim of bringing planet and community positive ways of balancing their temporary exhibitions.
Camden Meadow
Argyll School is receiving Camden Forest fruit trees and is helping to grow the Camden Meadow by giving out wildflower seed packs to students. They designed the packs themselves which you can see in the images below – beautiful!
