Growing plants is an opportunity to have fun and get creative. Why not ditch the standard plant pots and ask the students to come up with ideas for different containers – the crazier the better! This is an easy way to engage the students with growing and get them involved with the whole process.
Rocket Race
Have a ‘Rocket race’ at school. Give each year group a tire and get them to plant and grow rocket or other salad leaves. The rocket will take around 4/6 weeks to grow and then LIFT OFF. This is a great way to make growing fun and get students to try new vegetables.
